Almond butter chocolate balls too good to be true


After school today, Luca wanted a snack and I wanted to give his body something to give him the energy he needs to move at the speed of light- which is how he moves lately. All measurements are approximate as I just made it up but it goes a little something like this:

1 cup of raw almond butter
1/4 cup of raisins
half a chocolate bar of 88% dark chocolate
1 scoop of chocolate whey protein powder (can substitute vanilla or other powder)
1 tsp. of ground chia seeds
1/2 tsp. of cinnamon

Optional things I throw in there cause I’m crazy like that:
1 capsule of probiotics emptied into mixture
1 tbsp. of MCT oil (coconut oil derivative)
baking chocolate powder or low sugar hot cocoa mix for extra yum

Throw all of the ingredients into your mini-ninja mixer if you’re like me, or your cuisinart or vitamix-like object if you’re a real kitchen goddess/god.

Form them into balls and serve, refrigerate the rest. Thank me later.
