Rumi always says it best

“Dance, when you’re broken open. Dance, if you’ve torn the bandage off. Dance in the middle of the fighting. Dance in your blood. Dance when you’re perfectly free.” Rumi

This is not a new quote for many of us- but it’s so worth a re-read, and another, and another….

Yesterday was the final circle of the 6-week women’s circle on sexuality I co-facilitated. And the vulnerability, tenderness, pain, sweetness, community and sisterhood that was danced, painted, spoken, sung and held….humbled me to say the least.

This morning in Awaken the Dance we danced the heart. And once again, the journey of movement, tears, body communication and celebration was stunning. It was so moving, I even lost it myself, crying through the entire last song.

I guess I’m just blown away by the bravery of people, and the magic that arises from music-body-breath-community. This girl’s feeling crazy lucky these days.
